As Teen Miss Port Elizabeth 2009, it had always been Ziphozakhe’s dream to one day follow in the footsteps of Basetsana Khumalo and one day becoming Miss South Africa. That dream certainly came true for her when she was crowned Miss South Africa 2014 and afforded the opportunity of representing her country at Miss Universe in Miami 2015.
Although she only had two weeks to prepare for this, it is without a doubt one of her biggest highlights as she gained lifelong friends and joined a sisterhood that she will forever cherish.
Ziphozakhe has a measure of beauty pageants she has judged locally and recently abroad. She was afforded the opportunity of judging Miss Earth Ethiopia, Miss International Ethiopia and Miss Supermodel Ethiopia held in Addis Ababa.
She strongly believes in women empowerment and with her knowledge in the beauty and fashion industry she aims at providing direction to young women that may be helpful not only in the pageant world but in everyday life.

After her Miss South Africa reign, Ziphozakhe decided to return to university to complete her studies in motion picture medium.
She is passionate about documentary filmmaking and has written, produced and directed an experimental documentary in the Eastern Cape about the practice of Ukuthwala (forced child marriage).
“I am passionate about telling stories that are authentic about South Africa. I aim at educating, empowering as well as raising awareness in the purpose-driven work that I do.”
Ziphozakhe has her own non-profit organization “Zakhe Projects” which aims at women empowerment and youth development which is what she is passionate about. She aims at using her past experience at implementing change in her home province, the Eastern Cape.
She strongly believes in Mother Teresa's words:
“Not all of us can do great things, but we can all do small things with great love.”
